Standard Soprano Ukulele

In their heyday Martin produced some of the simplest yet classiest instruments ever known to musicians. The soprano ukulele was one of them: they just got it right!

Every single one of these that I have ever built has turned out to be a killer. Whether it is made from mastergrade koa in the 0 style like this one here or covered in bling, the effect has always been the same - a little humdinger of a ukulele.

Although not a faithful copy - the body is an eigth of an inch shorter than the Martin pattern - I stick to the high  construction principles made famous by the Martin company in the 20th century:

  • clean and tidy building
  • close attention to fit and finish
  • accurate voicing

I believe that these three things make for a perfect ukulele. My clients also agree...

As usual, you get a cellulose lacquer finish to complement the fine woods used and I build everything from a Style 0 to a 5K (look at our bling page). Starting price is £425 or $850...
