Wood selection

First I select the kiln dried Spanish Cedar for the bodies. This involves the resawing and careful matching of the 3 piece body blanks. At the same time I select the necks out of wood from the same board for colour and grain match.

Where possible the aim is to get a quartersawn match and orientation for both bodies and necks. This increases stability and just looks right!
